Before and After
Background Description:
Here is a photo I took at the Glen Canyon Dam that is right besides Lake Powell. This photo was taken during Spring Break of 2019 while I was heading down to Arizona to meet my family.
Design Process:
I wanted to learn and practice with luminosity masking since we've just learned it in class and understand it more. I started out with trying to find landscapes of photos I have taken during my time as a photographer and ended up with this photo. I started out with creating the highlights and then shadows. And try to lighten or darken certain area of the photo I desired. I then try to make the sky more "pretty" by making it more saturated. I then wasn't satisfied with the color of the lake or river. So I made a mask and colorized it more blue than usual.
